CNC Torch Mount Extension
What it does
This custom-made accessory converts a hand torch mount into a CNC torch mount. It raises the clamp location 6-inches, providing a higher placement on the body of your machine torch, eliminating possible torch operation issues due to clamping location.
This machine torch mount extension is machined out of aluminum, making it lightweight yet sturdy.
Why you Need it
You can't secure the clamp to the retaining cap for two reasons, the torch won't be able to travel low enough on the Z-axis, and you won't be able to change consumables without first removing the torch from the mount.
You can't place the clamp on the torch head because the pressure on the outer shell can affect the movements of the internal parts. This can either appear right away from a clamp being installed too tight, or over-time from heat affecting the plastic.
The best placement for the clamp on the CNC torch is the handle. This location allows you to properly secure the torch so that small bumps or movements will not affect its alignment/position.
Specifications
- The machine torch mount extension has an overall length of 6".
- The width of the space between the 2 prongs is 0.4".
- Similarly, the width of the single prong on the opposite end is also 0.4".
- The arm is 0.75" thick.
- Compatible with any CNC table that uses a Z-axis torch lifter; part number - JYKB-10024VDC-T3.
- For use on HC-4800 4'x4' and HC-9600 4'x8'. Not compatible with HC-2400 2'x2'.
