Halo Innovations Warranty and Returns. Coverage, Claims and Customer Support Policy.

Important Notice

In no way will Halo Innovations offer any help, aid, technical support, refund or extend any form of warranty to purchasers who buy from a non-authorized or third party source (sources that purchase from authorized retail dealers/distributors for the purposes of non-authorized for-profit resale). 


If you are in doubt about the legitimacy of an authorized dealer or distributor, contact Halo Innovations first before purchasing.

These products are considered fake and are not authorized or manufactured by Halo Innovations. This is a known scam in which you may not get any product at all, or another substituted product instead.


Halo Innovations will use all available legal action to stop and prevent promotion and sale of non-genuine, non-authorized products. Halo Innovations is a Canadian based and owned company. 


The materials on Halo Innovations’ website  are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. Halo Innovations makes no warranties,  expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other  warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or  non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Halo Innovations does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.


In no event shall Halo Innovations or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Halo Innovations’ website, even if Halo Innovations or a Halo Innovations authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied  warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you. 


Halo Innovations has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Halo Innovations of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the  user’s own risk. 

Terms of Sale

Any purchase of a Halo Innovations product shall indicate that the customer accepts and agrees to abide by and to be governed by all terms of sale and details and responsibilities associated with the warranty in this document. If a customer does not agree to these terms and provisions set forth, the customer should not complete any purchase of Halo Innovations products. 


Due to potentially changing supply chains and improvements to products, specifications, descriptions, packaging, and package contents may change without notice. This may mean that the product may change slightly from its depiction or what is printed on the website or manual. Any accessories, consumables, or equipment included in the purchase of a product may vary or be substituted for equivalent or better as well.


Halo regularly updates its website, manuals, and other supporting documents, however, some changes or variations may take place before all information is able to be updated. If a customer has any concerns about the product, these should be addressed by the customer before purchase.  The materials appearing on Halo Innovations' website could include  technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Halo Innovations  does  not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate,  complete or current. Halo Innovations may make changes to the  materials  contained on its website at any time without notice.  


Halo Innovations intends that these products are to be used by knowledgeable, trained people and are designed for and intended for professional use by professionals in professional environments. Halo cannot be responsible for developmental training, conditions in the workplace environment, safe installation, or safe operation of the products. If you do not have proper training, proper electrical wiring, or intent to source proper wiring and/or facilities, do not purchase these products. 


Halo Innovations may revise these terms for its website at any time without notice. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that province. 

Special and Seasonal Sale Pricing

Due to occasional special or seasonal sales pricing, Halo Innovations will not offer retroactive monetary refunds for the price difference between the original purchase price and the sales price after the original sale. However, if a customer notices a lower price offered on this website within two weeks after the original invoice purchase date, Halo may elect to offer store credit for the difference between the original price and the sale price. No cash, credit card, wire transfer or any other form of monetary refund will be made. Only store credit will be given at Halo's discretion. The customer must contact Halo directly and apply for a refund by either phone call or email, along with providing an invoice number to verify the purchase. No automatic credits will be given since this is a manual and detailed process. Changes in shipping charges and special handling charges are excluded from any form of refund after the sale. This policy applies specifically to items and goods sold directly on the Halo Innovations Official Website. 

Refused Deliveries

In the event any product ordered by the customer is refused by the customer or their designated representative, or is turned back by the customer or their designated representative for reasons other than apparent major shipping damage, the customer will be billed for shipping back to and from the original shipping point (Halo Innovations Warehouse). The cost of shipping will be deducted from the original payment before credit will be issued. The amount refunded will be less the cost of shipping the product both ways.  

Unclaimed Shipments and Storage Fees

The customer acknowledges and agrees that where any shipment is delivered to, held at, or redirected to a carrier facility, depot, warehouse, or third-party storage location at the customer's request or due to the customer's failure to accept delivery, any and all storage fees, handling charges, demurrage, re-delivery fees, or other ancillary charges incurred shall be the sole responsibility of the customer. Halo shall not be liable for any such fees or charges. 


Without limiting the foregoing, the customer expressly authorizes Halo and/or the carrier to store the goods at the customer's risk and expense, and the customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Halo Innovations from any costs, expenses, or liabilities arising from the customer's failure to accept delivery or collect the shipment within the time prescribed by the carrier or applicable authority.

Statement of Limited Warranty

This warranty statement is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions listed below and in the Terms and Conditions page of this website. 


Halo Innovations warrants to the end user (Original Purchaser) that the product is free of defects in workmanship and material for the duration of the time-period described below. Halo Innovations, at its discretion, reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund the product (Once returned, minus the wear and tear evaluation), as remedy for the warranty.


Due to Halo's desire to offer the most expedited service, Halo also reserves the right to offer the opportunity for the customers to make simple repairs to the equipment themselves under the supervision of Halo's technical advisors with the aid of a detailed instructional guide. If the customer is deemed capable, and after consultation with a technical support advisor and subsequent evaluation and approval, a part may be shipped to the customer to perform the repair. The customer will agree to repair and fix it at their own expense and time. Halo will not reimburse for labour in these cases. This enables the reduction of down-time from possibly several weeks (including shipping time) to just days or hours. 


Halo will not reimburse or be responsible for time loss, business loss, or other consequential or incidental causes as a result of failure, defect, or malfunction.


Consumables are warrantied only to be free of defects in the workmanship and material at the time of delivery.


This limited warranty applies only to new products purchased directly through Halo Innovations Canada, or from an authorized distributor or retailer. Products bought directly from "warehouse deals", previously returned items and resold by a company, liquidation dealers, salvage resellers, insurance claim bulk purchasers, and other similar points of purchase are considered "Used" and will not be eligible for warranty. Halo is in no way responsible or obligated to provide warranty on such items. 


Please be sure to save your receipt, along with proof of ownership. This will be needed for any warranty claims being made. If you did not receive a receipt of purchase at the time of sale, contact Halo Innovations at 905-981-4256.


Any detected abuse, neglect of maintenance, improper wiring, or refusal to comply with the established warranty protocol/procedures shall render this warranty void.

Warranty Time Period

Halo Innovations assures that the products acquired are free from manufacturer defects for a duration of 12 months. This covers:

  • Products that arrive in a faulty and non-functional state. 
  • Products that are rendered faulty and inoperable due to issues stemming from manufacturing flaws, design inadequacies, or material  defects. 

The warranty does not cover the following types of defects: 

  • Imperfections such as minor scratches, dings, dents, and surface abrasions that do not impact the functionality of the product. 
  • Defects resulting from incorrect assembly procedures. 
  • Defects resulting from incorrect utilization. 
  • Defects resulting from insufficient or regular maintenance procedures. 
  • Defects resulting from improper item storage or exposure to environmental elements. 
  • Defects resulting from ordinary usage and deterioration. 


Any part, including but not limited to, electronic control boards, transformers, solenoids, potentiometers, diodes, gauges, tubing, wiring, fans, switches, relays, displays, screens, etc. purchased as replacement or extra stock parts by the customer or the customer's representative for repairs or maintenance for out of warranty products (after the initial first owner warranty has fully expired) shall be warrantied for a period of 30-days after purchase. This 30-day warranty also includes extra parts or surplus "stock" parts purchased by the customer or customer's representative not intended for immediate warranty repair while the warranty period is in effect.

Warranty Service and Repair

Upon discovery of a defect, failure, or other malfunction in the product, the customer must contact Halo Innovations Tech Support within 2-weeks, either by phone (905-981-4256) or by email (tech@halo-innovations.ca) to inform Halo and begin a diagnosis of the issue to establish a warranty claim. Failure to do so may result in delay of service or denial of warranty claim.


Before a "Return Merchandise Authorization" can be approved, the customer must contact tech support and go through a limited diagnosis process to confirm the existence of an issue or defect.

Return Policy

If a product fails to perform as advertised, fails, malfunctions, or has an issue regarding shipping damage, customers may return the product within 30-days from time of purchase for a refund if the issue cannot be resolved or remedied. In order to make use of this return policy the customer must allow a chance for Halo to resolve or address the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, a return will be authorized, and a refund given once the product has been received by Halo. The product must be returned to Halo in the original packaging, must be in unused or nearly unused condition, and free of any customer induced defects. 


If a refund is issued, the customer will receive an amount of money equal to the price of the product when purchased, minus up to a 20% restocking fee dependent upon product condition. 

Transfer of Warranty

Ownership of warranty for any Halo Innovations products may be transferred one time in the products life. In order to transfer ownership and warranty to another person, the original owner must provide the original receipt or invoice, as well as the product serial number. If an ownership transfer occurs, only the remaining warranty will be transferred to the new owner and if the new owner brings forth a warranty claim, there will be no offer of free shipping even if it occurs during the remaining warranty period.
